THE STORY OF PEPPLES FARM

STAY AT OUR FARM DATING FROM 1560
Pepples Farm sits on land that has been farmed for over 460 years. Records of the farm date from 1560, and traces of its long agricultural history can still be seen in the field boundaries, ancient hedgerows and the timber framed structures that inspired the barn conversions guests stay in today. This is a working landscape with deep roots in the Essex and Cambridgeshire countryside.
Wild. Lush. Natural.
Today, Pepples Farm is a landscape in quiet transformation. We’re dedicated to rewilding the land, reconnecting ancient woodlands that were separated by decades of intensive farming, sowing wildflower meadows to bring back pollinators and restoring natural ponds that provide habitat for amphibians, dragonflies and wetland birds. The goal is a private nature reserve that works with the land rather than against it, and guests are warmly invited to walk the footpaths and explore.
